About the Women's Ministry of the South Central District
The Women's Ministry of the South Central Church of God is a vibrant and growing community of women united in their love for God, one another, and the world around them. Rooted in Scripture and expressed through service, prayer, and fellowship, this ministry exists to help every woman — regardless of age, background, or season of life — discover and walk fully in her God-given identity and calling.
Whether you are a lifelong believer or new to faith, whether you speak English, Spanish, or both, you will find a place here.
Core Areas of Focus
1. Discipleship & Bible Study
Women grow deepest in community. Our ministry facilitates Bible study groups at the local and district level, covering both classic and contemporary studies that speak to the real challenges women face. Studies are available in English and Spanish, and materials are distributed through local churches and the district office.
2. Prayer & Intercession
A praying church is a powerful church. Our Women's Ministry coordinates district-wide prayer initiatives, including monthly prayer calls and focused intercession for our congregations, families, missionaries, and community needs. Every woman is invited to participate.
3. Annual Women's Conference
Each year, women from across the South Central district gather for a multi-day conference featuring:
- Keynote messages from gifted women ministers and teachers
- Worship experiences designed specifically for this gathering
- Workshops on topics such as marriage, parenting, mental health and faith, leadership, and creative expression
- Bilingual sessions to honor our diverse community
- Time for connection, rest, and spiritual renewal
4. Community Outreach
The women of South Central are known for their generous and compassionate hearts. Ministry initiatives include food drives, care packages for families in need, hospital visitation, and support for mothers and children in vulnerable situations. Many of these projects are coordinated at the local church level with district support.
